It is one of the districts of Istanbul with the largest area, spreading over an area of 57 square kilometers. Esenyurt has become one of the important investment areas of the city, especially with its increasingly affordable housing projects.
Esenyurt is Turkey’s and İstanbul’s largest district in terms of population. Esenyurt borders on Avcılar in the east, Büyükçekmece in the west, Başakşehir and Arnavutköy districts in the north, and Beylikdüzü in the south. The land is less hilly and there is no forest on the boundaries of the district. Atatürk District and Saadetdere Thermal Facilities located in the district are among the places that can be visited in this region, which is rich in thermal water resources. The availability of healing water in a very large city like Istanbul is a remarkable development.
The depth of the geothermal resource is 4000 meters. It is rich in minerals, which makes Turkey’s highest quality geothermal water extracted from water. The water temperature of 54 degrees in the source reaches the surface as 49 degrees. The drilling depth is 1,150 meters. Esenyurt has 43 neighborhoods. Esenyurt has 9 large shopping malls, two large parks, a university, 14 large health institutions, and more than a hundred health centers.

It is thought that there is transportation from certain points of Istanbul and that investments will increase with the recently implemented metro project. Access to the area is easy from the E-5 Highway and TEM Highway direction and from the Avcılar, Esenyurt, and Hadımköy toll booths.
Demand for the region is expected to increase further, thanks to the 16 km long Mahmutbey- Bahçeşehir-Esenyurt metro line.
